NFC(near field communication) is a technology allowing short-range data transfer between devices. This transaction can be achieved up to about 3 inches between each piece of equipment. Having a phone with a case can slightly shorten this distance.

2. Do NFCs work with iPhones and Android?

Right now, almost all mobile smart phones can read NFC tags and almost all Android phones can read and and encode. Apple have enabled NFC tag scanning on the iPhone 7, 8 and X running iOS 11 or later with an App. The latest iPhone XS/XR, 11, 12, 13 and iPhone 14 models can scan NFC tags natively without requiring an additional App. Android phones can read NFC tags without an App. 

3. Can I reuse and reprogram them?

4. Are these waterproof or outdoor-friendly?
