APPLICATION PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy sets out how ZEROTAG PTY LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information in connection with the ZeroTag E‑Pantry mobile application (the “Application”). We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
“Personal information” has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Collection of personal information
We may collect personal information that you provide to us directly or that is generated through your use of the Application.
Types of personal information we may collect include:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication provider (Apple/Google).
- Profile information: display name, avatar, household membership and roles.
- User‑generated content: pantry items, shopping lists, storage locations, notes, preferences, and other content you submit in the Application.
- Device and technical information: device model, operating system, IP address, and diagnostic logs.
- Affiliate link interactions: records of affiliate link clicks used to measure purchase impact and product effectiveness.
- Purchase/entitlement information: subscription status or entitlements, where applicable. Payment card details are processed by Apple/Google and are not stored by us.
We do not collect GPS or precise location data.
2. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information when you:
- create or use an account;
- interact with features of the Application;
- contact us for support or feedback; or
- authenticate via third‑party identity providers.
We may receive personal information from third parties (e.g., Apple/Google) and will handle it in accordance with this Policy.
3. Sensitive Information
We do not collect sensitive information.
4. Use of personal information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Application;
- authenticate users and manage household access;
- improve features and user experience;
- provide support and respond to enquiries;
- measure affiliate link performance and app impact; and
- comply with legal obligations.
5. Disclosure of personal information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd
- employees, contractors, service providers and professional advisers as reasonably necessary to provide the Application;
- third‑party providers for authentication or infrastructure;
- law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law; and
- any purchaser or successor in the event of a corporate transaction.
6. Overseas disclosure
At present, we do not store or process personal information outside Australia. In the future, we may use service providers located overseas (for example, cloud hosting or analytics services). If we do, we will take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you acknowledge that transmission of information is at your own risk.
8. Access and correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and request corrections where it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Requests can be made to joseph@zerotag.au. We may refuse access in circumstances permitted by law.
9. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active and for up to seven (7) years following your last activity, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Privacy Act or this Policy, you may lodge a complaint by contacting joseph@zerotag.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may amend this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted in the Application or on our website.
